The Box Office







Spider-Man: Far From Home reins supreme with a $93.6 million opening weekend. The film has grossed over $180 million in it’s first week out. Far From Home becomes the highest opening for a Tuesday released film. Toy Story 4 takes in $34 million and Aladdin racks up $7.6 during the holiday weekend.







The News







Halle Bailey has been cast as Ariel in the live action Little Mermaid. Bailey is one half of the R&B group Chloe X Halle. She joins Jacob Tremblay and Awkwafina in this live action cast.







The first official trailer for Disney’s live action Mulan has dropped. The trailer gets down to business and shows Mulan in action. The film hits theaters March 27, 2020.







Knives Out is the next film from The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson. The trailer showcases the star-studded cast including Chris Evans, Daniel Craig, and Jamie Lee Curtis. Knives Out hits theaters everywhere November 27.







Finally, the rumor mill is churning for the DC Extended Universe again. It and It: Chapter 2 director Andy Muschietti is in talks to direct The Flash for DC. The Ezra Miller lead film has been on again off again since his introduction in the Justice League.
