The Box Office







Avengers: Endgame comes at number one for the 3rd week in a row. The number two highest grossing film of all time pulls in over $63 million this past weekend. Detective Pikachu comes in at a close second with $58 million in it’s opening weekend. The Rebel Wilson and Anne Hathaway comedy The Hustle rounds off the top three with $13.5 million.







Comic Book Movie News







Tom Holland introduces this new Spider-Man: Far From Home that comes 2 weeks after the release of Avengers: Endgame. The trailer introduces a world without Tony Stark, the multiverse, and Mysterio as a superhero. 







We also have some comic book movie casting news this week. Richard Madden (Game of Thrones) is in talks to join Marvel’s The Eternals. James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad will possibly see a familiar face added to the cast. Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy) is in talks to join this DC Extended Universe film.







Horror Movie News







David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, Man of Steel) has been tapped to write a new script a reboot the Hellraiser franchise. For the first time since 1996’s Hellraiser: Bloodline, Pinhead and the Cenobites will be on the big screen.







Also, the hit heavy metal horror comedy Deathgasm will be getting a sequel from director Jason Lei Howden. No release date for either film has been announced.







The It: Chapter 2 trailer has dropped. The follow up to the 2017 hit film will see the “Loser Club” return to Derry 27 years after their original encounter with the evil Pennywise.

We also discuss the possibility of another Matrix film, a Cypher Fast and Furious spinoff, and the new trailer for the Judy Garland biopic starring Renee Zellweger titled Judy. Finally, we take a look at Disney’s official release date schedule following the Fox buyout.
