Welcome back to The Killer Countdown on the Back Lot 605 Network. In this bi-weekly podcast series we rank the best films that the horror genre has to offer. This week, host Casey Kelderman is joined by his toughest competitor yet…his fiance. With Blake out for the week, Casey asked fiance Kayla to join him on the show to discuss children’s horror films. Together the two will create a top 8 list of the best children’s horror films of all time! Drop a comment below with some of your favorites of the sub-genre.
Children’s Horror
For this episode we did set some guidelines to follow for the films that will appear. The films on the must be intended for a family/child audience. That means films like Ghostbusters, Gremlins, and Beetlejuice will not be on the list since those are intended for an older audience. Furthermore, films must include scenes or moments that are intended to scare children. That means A Nightmare Before Christmas, which is more of a musical than anything, will not be on the list.
In The Killer Countdown, each player will get 4 picks throughout the game in a random order. Both players will also get 1 stab in which they can use to remove a film from a certain spot. Together the two will create a combined top 8 list of the best children’s horror films.
