She's running against Tim Ryan (OH-13) in the Ohio Democratic Primary to replace retiring Republican Senator Rob Portman, but recently, she debated the likely Republican challenger, Josh Mandel, whose Trump-style politics put him in a position to trounce establishment Democrat Ryan if Ryan wins the nomination. Brie asks Harper why she's running, why progressives should trust her in light recent disappointments from elected progressives, and how she plans to win. The pair also discusses the messaging strategies Harper used to effectively parry Mandel's most outrageous debate claims.
