For “Currento Eventos” we’re first talking about the racist incident at Red Apple Nails in Brooklyn where two Black women were attacked over 5$ dollars, we discuss the opening of the first charter school in Puerto Rico since the austerity measures have been placed and post Hurricane Maria, and the Prison Strike going on from August 21st until September 9th in an effort to spark changes in the prison system and why it matters.

For “What’s Your Baggage” we discuss the summer and the way it had us ALL THE WAY FUCKED UP. But thanks to our fave astrologers we’ve decided to see this as a type of expansion period. We talk about which areas of our lives expanded this summer and what we learned.
For “Put it in your Bag” Lina talks about the debut novel Freshwater by Akwaeke Emezi and Estephanie talks about Poketo and her new fave planner. Finally for our rotating theme we talk about what we’re leaving behind in this funky summer and we’re looking forward to in the fall and Lina wraps it up with a weekly affirmation!
