2020 Week 2 Recap: Miami Dominates in Louisville, Boston College and NC State Get Wins, and MORE! - a podcast by Basketball Conference
from 2020-09-20T23:00
Week 2 of ACC play is in the books, and things did NOT go the way that Joey and Mike thought they did -- they were a combined 2-10 against the spread and just 4-3 straight-up in picks this weekend! That's because:
- Miami proved too much for Louisville to handle, which was a really good sign for the 'Canes to go with some not-so-good signs for the Cardinals...
- Pittsburgh had major issues on special teams and missed opportunities on several occasions, but still disposed of Syracuse without much issue (and that's not a great sign for the Orange).
- Boston College kicked off the Jeff Hafley era with a win over Duke, although it's still hard to say whether the Eagles or Blue Devils are particularly functional at this point.
- NC State broke a 6-game conference game losing streak in hanging on to win against Wake Forest, despite some unexpected quarterback turbulence.
- Georgia Tech played UCF somewhat closely for a 28-point loss but still has some major issues to work out, including some majorly detrimental freshman moments from the largely-dynamic Jeff Sims.
All of this, plus we give awards to some larger-scale trends in the conference, we name teams and players of the week, and MORE!
