The Toronto Blue Jays won the weekend series in Detroit against the Tigers and Justin & Patrick are here to tell you what it means for the playoff picture and for the rest of the season.

Jose Berrios bounced back, Alek Manoah rolled, and Stephen Matz continued his string of strong starts. Combine that with strong performances out of the bullpen and the Jays allowed only 5 runs this weekend.

The problem continues to be run production. Over the weekend the bats went 3-for-28 with runners in scoring position. In Sunday's 2-1 victory the runs both came on solo home runs. On Saturday the team mustered only 3 runs on 12 hits in 10 innings. Something has to change.

George Springer appears close to a return and could join the lineup as soon as Monday in Baltimore. Danny Jansen and Nate Pearson are also ramping up in Triple-A and could provide a boost soon.

It's not over yet but the Jays need to string wins together to get back in the race!

Thank you for listening, we will be back on Thursday.
