In the fourth installment of the In The Wilderness series Lee Woodmansee explores Numbers 10-11. In this session we see Israel take off from Sinai for the first time since they had arrived a year earlier. Their first road trip starts off gloriously, then turns sour almost immediately. When the people grumble and complain, God judges them. They complain again, God judges again. Moses complains, and God provides a grace to him that will also sow the seeds of discord for the remainder of Moses' time as Israel's leader.
Key questions asked in this session are:
What paradigm is established in Numbers 11:1-3?
Why is grumbling or complaining such a big deal?
Why does grumbling continue within Israel's camp?
What happens when Israel's intercessor fails?
What does this have to do with us?
