When we apply how Jesus behaved during the injustices that were done against Him, then we can see that he meant the principles literally under the old law and that to receive the kingdom of heaven they would have to be done perfectly - which of course He did. We discuss a few applications into how the spirit of this perfection can overflow into far less perfect actions as we mature throughout our lives.
