Who Are Your Friends? Today what I’m talking about is very important, and it affects every one of us without exception, and that is…our friends.  Those people in the world who we spend time with of our own free will who are not our blood family.
You have probably heard the phrase;“You can’t choose your family, but you can choose your friends”?
Well, it’s really true.  We have the ability to choose who our friends are, and that fact is of particular importance when you consider this other saying you have probably heard, which is; “You are the sum total of the five people you spend the most time with.”
I personally don’t believe any statement is true 100% of the time, there are exceptions to everything…but for the most part, this statement is exactly correct…that means if you consider the 5 people you spend the most time with, think of all of their collective virtues and flaws and add them all together and divide that by 5…the result will equal you.  Interesting when you think of it like a math problem isn’t it?Friends are a big, big deal for everyone…but there is a spectrum, a range of degrees like there is for everything.
On one end of the range you have people who’s  friend group is the most important thing in their life, they are with at least one of their friends every waking moment of every day. I think this is more common with younger people of a certain age, but it is very common.
At the other end of the spectrum you have the loners, people who seem like they don’t have any friends at all.  In between these two extremes you have every possible degree and everyone falls into this range somewhere. It is important to know where you are on this spectrum because once you have this knowledge you gain a new power over your own life.  Like they say…knowledge is power.
In this episode I explain the power of knowing who your friends are and how that can directly impact your life!I would love to hear your feedback on this episode…or any episode, I love hearing from you.
