Next year the Online Safety Bill will come to parliament with the aim of improving safeguards for young people on social media. TikTok, Apple, Google and Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, have met with the Children’s Commissioner to discuss how to protect children online. Today’s Mishal Husain speaks to Children’s Commissioner Dame Rachel de Souza and Lord Allan, who worked on public policy at Facebook for 10 years.
