President Biden has said he stands "squarely" behind his decision to withdraw American troops from Afghanistan in a speech a day after the Taliban seized control of the country.

Mishal Husain speaks to Khaled Hosseini, the award winning author of The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, who was born in Kabul. Both books depict the horrifying experiences of young people in Afghanistan during the rise of the Taliban.
