Dame Cressida Dick resigned as Metropolitan Police Commissioner this week after losing the confidence of Mayor of London Sadiq Khan.

Justin Webb speaks to Ian Blair, who himself stepped down as commissioner when he lost the support of then Mayor Boris Johnson.

Lord Blair argues that either the Met should lose responsibility for all matters other than policing London or go back to the old system where the Home Secretary should be responsible for the hiring and firing of the commissioner.
