Dr Irfan Halim took ill in September, after spending much of the last 18 months on the NHS frontline during the pandemic. Nine weeks later, he died after contracting Covid-19. He had dedicated 25 years of work to the NHS as a surgeon.

His brother, Amir, speaks to Mishal Husain about the loss of not just Irfan, but also of their father Kamal, who also died from complications of the virus.
