NHS England: '2.7 million people were referred for cancer checks in the last year'. - a podcast by BBC Radio 4

The latest figures from NHS England suggest that 2.7 million people, a record number, have been referred for cancer checks in the twelve months up to February this year. The pre-pandemic figure was 2.4 million so that feels to some like progress or at least a sign that we are catching up with some of the cases missed during the pandemic.
