Are portraits art? Portraiture is an old tradition, going back to at least ancient Egypt where it has flourished for the past 5,000 years. This week, however, BYWAP is all wrapped up in the historical romantic drama of Celine Sciamma's brilliant Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019). Not only was this movie specifically made for us, but it also opened up a whole conversation about portraits. 

Join us as we contemplate between running away to French islands, cry over the power of music in film, break down the philosophy of portraits, and thrill in Queer Delight over two equals falling in love. Stephanie has seen it at least three times, y'all.
