Kimberly Smythe gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and then had to give her up. Join us as she tells us her story of how the happiness and completion she expected to feel when her first child was back in her life remained elusive. Kimberly’s book, Letting Go Again is one birth mother’s courageous and compassionate account of giving up her baby daughter for adoption, and their troubled relationship once they are reunited almost two decades later. In her words, “I spent many years of my life wishing I had done things differently. What I have learned is that there is no value in that. There are so many things I have learned. The most important thing I’ve learned is that it has to be okay to love from afar and that letting go of expectations and accepting what is, is not failure, it is freedom.”
