Episode 111 - Tom Byrne of Galleons - a podcast by Chad McKinney

Originally inspired by various mathcore and swancore acts from the 2010s, Galleons have built upon their sound over the last 5 years by introducing many elements found in more contemporary genres such as pop, trap, hip hop, and low-fi, while also infusing songs with hints of jazz, soul and blues music, most notably heard in their 2020 album, Metropolis. Their frontman Tom Byrne’s powerful vocal style, reminiscent of Jonny Craig’s, provides a perfect match for the band’s heavy, groovy, and intricate instrumentation.

Tom is also the vocalist for the project Valiant Hearts.
