Professor Jürgen Vormann is a scientist, researcher, and world-renown specialist in the field of nutritional biochemistry, and magnesium specifically. Professor Vormann has been researching and publishing papers on the role of magnesium in health since 1983. He is considered a leader in the field of magnesium research, and also has significant research interests in acid-base metabolism and the biochemistry of pharmacologically active food ingredients.

Professor Jürgen studied Science of Nutrition at the University Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany, where he also earned his Doctorate in Pharmacology and Toxicology of Nutrition. He is currently a Professor at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in Berlin. In addition, Professor Vormann also founded and currently heads the Institute for Prevention and Nutrition (IPEV) in Munich.
