It’s Christmas and a group of sorority sisters are stalked and slaughtered by an orange-skinned maniac with a penchant for gingerbread cookies.

The 2006 remake of the 1974 cult classic isn’t a perfect film, but it’s head-and-shoulders above the plethora of horror remakes released during this era. We’ve got some pretty creative kills, a great cast, and a new spin on what made the original so iconic. And, as so many remakes of the time had, it doesn’t stray too far from the source material.

So, make sure your stockings are hung with extreme care, because Billy’s on the loose.
