Tales from the Crypt: Maniac at Large (1992) - a podcast by brandon Ford

After a bit of a sabbatical, it’s time to return to CK’s lair with another one of my favorite episodes of HBO’s classic TV series TALES FROM THE CRYPT.

In “Maniac at Large,” Blythe Danner stars as a jittery librarian working late. The news and constant chatter regarding an unidentified lunatic stalking and murdering hapless city dwellers doesn’t do much to cut the thickness of the tension in the air. Neither does a lecherous security guard, an avid reader with macabre obsession with true crime, and a disfigured stranger pounding at the doors. It seems danger is constantly surrounding her. Is the unknown murderer truly stalking our seemingly helpless heroine, or is something far more sinister going on in this quiet New York City library?
