Without a proper heads-up, Andy (Corey Feldman) transfers to the university of his long-term girlfriend, who, much to his surprise, isn’t happy to see him. It’s clear he hasn’t planned ahead, since he shows up on campus with nothing more than a backpack and no place to stay. Taking her suggestion, Andy decides to pledge a fraternity. Unbeknownst to him, this particular frat consists of voodoo-practicing members of the occult, who plan on making him an honorary member of their undead tribe.

VOODOO is a micro-budget, straight-to-video flick that, after briefly being a late-night Cinemax staple, disappeared into obscurity. With a long out-of-print DVD release by Simtar, it’s somewhat hard to nab. If you’re able to find it streaming, however, I hope you’ll watch along as I take this generic horror quickie more seriously than it deserves to be taken, while Austin and Tony seize each opportunity to note every possible homoerotic undertone.
