🔴 Bloomberg reported earlier that Binance-Peg BUSD stablecoin “doesn’t always appear to have been completely backed by BUSD” issued by Paxos. In response, Binance posted a blog here https://lnkd.in/dPSXc8Bz & it states the difference between a pegged and backed stablecoin — was a “timing mismatch in backing Binance-Peg BUSD with BUSD”

✖️ In 2023 stablecoins seem to be having a greater problem than in 2022. Bitcoin.com has just reported that The Tron-based stablecoin USDD fell below $1 parity again during the first week of 2023 and on Jan. 10. Four days ago, the stablecoin dropped to $0.972 per unit and on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, USDD slipped to $0.977 per unit. Article here https://lnkd.in/dp3Tpf48


🎙️ A trend the last three months we at Blockchain DXB have been observing is a stark decline in the usage of stablecoins. If the trend continues it would make it easier for Central Bank Digital Currencies in the world to usher in their CBDCs
