THIS EPISODE RIGHT HERE?!?!?! This was a fun one!!! We have the legendary...the mighty...DJ Rob Swift. The original member of the turntables group  X-ecutioners, he's worked with Cypress Hill, Fat Joe, Linkin Park, Blue Man Group and Herbie Hancock. He's with us today via zoom to talk about his 1999 album The Ablist.

This record is amazing, showing the turntables as an instrument in the band, and DJing as an art form. Even 20 years later, this album holds weight. We also had the opportunity to talk to Rob about the backstory behind creating the album, instrumentation and production, as well as his experience being a DJ in the Golden Era of Hip Hop.

The convo was so good, we had to break it into two parts. So, make sure you stay tuned for next week's episode!!!

You can find this project on all streaming platforms but if you're looking for vinyl, check out discogs.com
