Hi, everyone! We are super late, yes, we know. It was a sound thing. ‘Nough said.

Anyway, in this episode we talk, electoral reform in U.S. (again!), sex toys, Nic Cage, British cuisine and oh yeah, we begin our discussion on the abolition of slavery in Brazil. Mind you, this is just part 1 of 2. To get you guys in the know, we talk miscegenation, colourism, socioeconomic class, Machado de Assis, and the current Brazilian census. Next episode will be the more historical facts and stuff, including rebellions and quilombos, and some of the consequences we deal with today, which are in evidence with the worldwide protests.

Oh yeah. At the end of the pod, Larissa talks about vinegar against tear gas. Use a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water, ok?

As always, we’d like to thank Uoster Zielinski, our beloved listeners, the essential workers, and the protesters. Really, you are awesome.
