Additionally, she has been a clinical preceptor for the Mercer School of Medicine, Morehouse School of Medicine, and the Philadelphia College of Medicine. She is a graduate of Albany State University (undergrad) and the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. Her residency training was completed at the Tallahassee Memorial Family Medicine Program. Dr. Melanie Shorter Jones shares that her resilience comes from her female role models in life. She gives advice on how to speak up and to seek opportunities.
