The dynamic duo are back this week with a whole new discussion on influencers. Who are they? What do they do? Why are most of them douche bags!!!??? Manny and Nicky talk on how social media influencers need to step their game up and think before they post. Nicky points out influencers are now considered celebrities in their own right, while manny also mentions before social media “influencers” they had actual celebrities they looked up to; musicians, athletes, actors; etc.
Both host agree, while creating content around the clock is a full time job, influencers should be more responsible when it comes to what they actually post, and to make sure they aren’t giving fans a false reality.
When you charge your young fans $50 to stream you fake wedding, such as Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau did, you have to ask yourself, are you an influencer or a scam artist. The risk that are taken to be edgy and controversial can be risky and possibly the reason for their downfall. As we have all seen before, it takes 1 second to lose it all, and a miracle to get it all back.
