Labels?, Who Needs Them? - a podcast by Manny Oso & Nicky Trendz

A few weeks ago Forbes released their yearly “30 Under 30 List”. This is the list of people Forbes consideres the young go getters that are helping change and mold and influence and make the world better. This year, the cover for the issue was none other than Bad Bunny. El Conejo, himself. This was great and well deserved… then, they decided to dub him The King Of Pop.
That’s where the conversation started. Many people out there have voiced their opinions, to and fro on this King Of Pop title.
- - wait, when did Beníto turn Pop? We must have missed that when he has doing all his music and interviews in Spanish, singing with Mexican Bandas and flying 20 feet off the top rope in WWE.
Well, Nicky Trendz does not agree. She’s more inclined to say there is no King. MJ was the only one and the title is unnecessary to anyone else making a name for themselves. She scoffs at any attempt to name a new one. Manny Oso doesn’t think you can call yourself a King if you can’t command the masses. So far, he says Taylor & Beyoncé are the only ones who can do that! Amazing artist, yes. Great performer, duh! Perfect spokesperson for any brand, arguably yes! … king of Pop? That’s the argument…
