Our desire to be faithful to God can often be hampered by the failings of the past. We often hang onto these failings or hold onto habits and things that we should let go of in order to be able to move forward. Paul gives us a beautiful blue print of faithfulness as he says,"Forgetting what is past and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."Isaiah tells us that God is doing a new thing, this sermon looks at how we apply these teachings so that we grow in our faithful Christian living. - Rev.
