George Solomon was the assistant managing editor for sports at the Washington Post from 1975-2003. During his career he oversaw the work of legendary journalists like Michael Wilbon, Sally Jenkins, Christine Brennan, JA Adande, David Aldridge, Tony Kornheiser and many others. Since 2003, has been the director of the Shirley Povich Center for Sports Journalism at the University of Maryland. He is one of Monica's mentors and he discusses the role of sports writers during the Corona Virus pandemic. George also discusses the future of sports journalism, how he's getting his sports "fix" right now, why diversity and inclusion is so important in journalism, and so much more.
