A really interesting and eye opening episode, Part 1 covers the general background behind the current challenges in the Middle East, ISIS and how it all ties back to the war on Iraq back in 2003. Tallha explains how he sees the current Iraqi government as far more dangerous than Saddam Hussein, how ISIS uses the outrage at some of the current government's actions as a tool for recruitment, and how he himself has unfortunately experienced atrocities towards his own family. Tallah breaks down some of the fundamental basics such as how secularism works in the Middle East and the CIA’s involvement in the whole thing, ideas that a political agnostic such as Sam was totally unaware of!
