Maggie Flood (Taurus Sun, Virgo Moon, Pisces Rising) @sacred_spaces is an licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, embodiment coach & pelvic floor healer in Southern California. She founded an incredible workshop called ‘The Embodied Endo Journey’ which seeks to educate people on advocating to themselves during their Endometriosis journey. This week we talk consent based pelvic care with your physician or healer. Why is consent and placing boundaries important outside of the bedroom & in the medical/healer’s office? What does consent based care both look and sound like? How can trauma come from a doctor’s visit? Maggie also discusses normal vs abnormal pelvic health symptoms & why it takes so long for us folks with Endometriosis to get a diagnoses. She also gives advice for people who are low income to make the most out of time with their physician when you don’t always get to choose the person you get to see. ✨5 Minute Diagnoses is our new segment where people are educating others on their chronic physical and mental health diagnoses. This week Sydney Sang @nixsullivan discusses her struggle with Endometrosis. ✨ Burn Black Book Club continues this week with a selection chosen by @goldiefawn
