As the first day of the invasion of Ukraine was passing, we sat down to discuss what brought these appalling events in the first place and how such conflicts shape technology, science and the advancement of humanity.

The cover of this episode is inspired by the work of the Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko whose paintings were targeted by Russian troops in a museum in Ivankiv. Some of her paintings were saved by a local man who ran into the burning museum, according to Anastasiia Prymachenko, granddaughter of the famous folk artist.
