Joel Martinez, professionally known as The Kid Mero, is a writer, comedian, TV personality, and voice actor. After starting his career as a teacher’s aide in the Bronx, Mero later began writing articles for Vice’s music program, Noisey. In 2016, Viceland announced Desus & Mero, which ran for two years. Currently, Mero co-hosts Desus & Mero, which airs on Showtime. Alexis joins Mero in his home in New Jersey, where the two discuss Mero’s childhood growing up in the Bronx, learning what memes are cool and ‘Jim Carrey Math’.
