Dr.Vijayeta Sinh is a clinical psychologist, relationship expert, and founder of TherapyCouchNYC. She sits down to talk about navigating mental health during a pandemic, particularly from a South Asian perspective. As many adult children have returned to living at home with parents, boundaries have become blurred. An unknown future has lead to a mental health crisis in the US. Job loss has left many without a sense of purpose. Dr.Sinh provides insight on how to reframe and readjust to our new normal. 

A nationally known expert, with over 15 years of experience in the field of emotionally intelligent relationships, Vijayeta received her Ph.D. from Columbia University and is a Supervising Psychologist at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, and Teachers College at Columbia University. Born and raised in India, she is fluent in Hindi and has a deep understanding of cultural and social issues as they relate to work, career, marriage, and parenthood.

Vijayeta is a contributing writer for Psychology Today and was a speaker at the Brainwave Series at the Rubin Museum in New York City. For her expertise, she has been featured on NBC News, WCBS 880-AM, Business Insider, Reader’s Digest, Monster, and Family Circle.
