from 2020-11-10T14:00
Rabiya joins us this week to talk about raising bi-racial kids and helping them sort out their identities as Americans while being proud of their Indian heritage. She shares her story of becoming pregnant after only 6 months with her now husband, explaining it to her Muslim family, and ultimately raising her daughter. We discuss some of her favorite SA children's books and products, financial independence, generational wealth, and cultural appropriation. She is also the co-found of SAWIR (South Asian Women in Interracial Relationships).
