One idea that we hear a lot about today is that of Self-Esteem. While developing a positive self-image might seem like a healthy practice, we should consider whether this inward focus will ultimately take our gaze away from the One who’s estimation of us matters most.

When it comes to our spiritual, mental, emotional–even physical well-being, is it really healthy to turn our focus inward in order to gird up our supposedly poor self-image? It might surprise you to learn that Jesus didn’t think so. We will discuss this today as Pastor Phil concludes our look at Psychology and Self-Esteem, part of our ongoing series, The Battle for Truth.
