Join CWT4R next Wednesday October 2nd as we talk with activist Lisa Gilmore and DiVine Gardley (survivor) about Domestic Violence in the LGBTQ Community and hear what effect it has on a child from Divine who is an alley. Listen in and hear her story. If you have a story you would like to share please inbox us. On March 7th 2013, President Obama signed into law the re-authorized Violence against Women Act that provides for more services for victims of Domestic Violence. This law will give agencies the ability to apply for grants and obtain money to help educate about the prevention of sexual abuse and have the ability to care for Domestic Violence victims. Rape victims also had a victory because now the testing for DAN should be shorter providing for a quicker resolution to finding rapist that are in the system quicker, helping to get them off the street. The reauthorized VWA also includes greater support for LGBTQ victims, immigrants and Native American women who have been traditionally undeserved.

Talk to us do you feel the trend of Domestic Violence is changing for the better or getting worst?
