In a great deal of desperation, Daniel prays and seeks God for his people. And God answers with one of the great passages of hope in all of Scripture. The much debated “Seventy Weeks” passage occurs here. Whether this refers to merely the Roman Empire’s destruction of Jerusalem or to that plus the end times event is up for debate. However, we cannot miss the expressed hope in this passage – hope needed by us all.
