Hannah was a young wife who was not able to have children. She prayed and prayed. Finally, the LORD heard her prayer and blessed her with Samuel. Samuel would grow up to become a prophet and the high priest. He would anoint kings – Saul and David – which would set the course for the Son of David (Messiah) to come.
