This town, which is actually a geographical area made up of several towns, has a deep history that goes back over 200 years. Known for its many mills that helped fuel the early industries of Ontario, many of the original 150-year-old buildings still stand to this day.

It was also the home for the orphans of the Armenian Genocide of the 1920s.
