Whenever an aircraft needs parts for replacement or repair, there’s common avenues we use. That being: Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA), or the salvage yard. For today’s episode, we focus on a fourth avenue that has some nuance and some shadiness tied to it, and that is Owner-Produced Parts (cue OPP song!).
