What Jesus taught and who He taught were unexpected. Who He called, who He gifted were unexpected. Jesus welcomed women and taught them when no one else would, and He gifted and called them in unexpected ways. 

 

Paul would capture that plan in Galatians 3:28 when he that declared because of Christ, the old barriers between Jew and Gentile (race), slave and free (power and wealth), and male and female (gender) hold no power in His Kingdom.
