Adoption Identity - a podcast by Jenny Elliott

Identity is a huge part of transitioning into motherhood and identity can be complicated for people who were adopted. Jamee Lapakko is a dear friend of my sister (and me). She grew up right down the street from us. She is a Korean adoptee and it was becoming a mother, 7 years ago, that sparked her desire to find her birth mother. Understanding her birth history and Korean culture has become a huge part of defining her motherhood identity. Jamee has an incredible story reconnecting with her birth family. 

Jamee is a Korean adoptee, she was raised and still lives in Minnesota. She has been a hairstylist for the past 11 years and currently owns her own business.  She has a 7 years old daughter, Tegan.
