LETITIA WERTH. Mountains and Waterfalls
Mountains – a continuing series of drawings, with graphite pencil, ink, charcoal, acrylic on cotton, in various sizes, she began working on them in 2014.
The drawings show impressions, wonders of nature and mysterious mountain landscapes. Where reality ceases and fiction begins remains blurred. Light and dark, as well as the interaction of foreground and background are sometimes reversed. Nature, the outer space, becomes the mirror of the soul, the landscape becomes a projection screen for the emotional world. The intensive examination of surfaces, structures and spatial depths is fundamental to the artistic practice of the artist. Found photos from flea markets are impulses for the compositions.

Falling water – a work series of ink drawings on paper in various sizes which Werth began working on in 2008. She explores the nature of the waterfall, from different perspectives, reduced to essential impressions and nuances in ink paintings. (written by Cem Angeli)
