Martin Kippenbergers oeuvre, which he developed in a time span of twenty years, is now for the first time on display in an exhibition asking for the connection of art and language in Kippenbergers work. At Kunstforum Vienna the curator and linguist Lisa Kreil-Ortner focused on this special point of view. Language - written, spoken, read of performed - is the media, which is deeply interconnected with his whole oeuvre. With language he staged himself in different roles and consequently worked on the confusion of Kippenberger as a private person and Kippenberger as an art character.
