Today, pastor Ed is preaching from 1 Corinthians chapter 15:12-19. Paul addressed opponents who opposed the idea of human bodies being resurrected into glorified bodies. Paul introduced this line of reasoning by posing a dilemma. If he had preached that Christ had been raised from the dead and the Corinthians had believed it, how could they deny the resurrection of the dead? He introduced the idea that this was an inconsistent way of thinking. If people cannot be resurrected bodily, then Jesus was not resurrected. The fact of Christ's resurrection invalidated any philosophical objection to the possibility of resurrection.
