  • Working closely with members of the community, including community-based organizations and adolescent and young adult influencers
  • Involving all youth when designing vaccination outreach and messaging programs
  • Creating and evaluating the use of technology
  • Using graphics, voices, and videos, appealing to all languages, and learning styles
  • Acknowledging that racism exists in medicine and medical history
  • Informing individuals that many children, including undocumented immigrants and those who are uninsured or underinsured, may be eligible for free meningococcal vaccines through the Vaccines for Children program
  • Seeking ways to address the shortage of healthcare professionals
