Pt. 8: A Faith Saturated Life

Baba Vanga’s predictions for 2022

 

1) An increase in catastrophes, including earthquakes and tsunamis

The famous psychic predicted the 2004 tsunami and revealed that a huge wave would cover the coast and people would perish. The Bulgarian predicted that in 2022, several Asian countries, along with Australia, will be struck by intense bouts of floods.

 

2) The discovery of a lethal virus in Siberia

A team of researchers will discover a lethal virus in Siberia that was, up until now, frozen. Due to the catastrophic effects of global warming, said virus will be released and could quickly spin out of control…

 

3) A lack of drinking water

Many cities can expect to be hit by a shortage of drinking water this year. Population increases and the pollution of rivers will see many of us struggle to hydrate ourselves. In fact, many states will be forced to find other solutions to find new sources.

 

5) Attack of the locusts in India

Baba Vanga predicts apocalyptic scenes in India and pointed out that the temperatures there will reach a whopping 50° Celsius. Locusts will then attack crops and agricultural plots, causing an immense famine.

 

4) An alien ship will attack Earth

An asteroid known as ‘Oumuamua’ will be sent by aliens to seek out life on Earth, and the unearthly beings could even take prisoners when they touch down!

 

TO LIVE A LIFE OF FAITH I MUST LIVE…

 

IN FAITH -  IMMERSE MYSELF in faith.

 

 IN =  To put into or onto: encapsulate. To go into or onto

 

“5Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?” (James 2:5, ESV)

 

Notice that Faith isn’t alone in my life, these other issues will naturally grow and take over unless I stop them! They’ll never vanish – but can be reduced by centering all of life in faith in Christ.

 

When you see faith getting bigger in these diagrams it doesn’t necessarily mean you need more faith. Most of you have enough faith – what you need to do is stop trying to get more – as if God were a shopping mall and I want to buy more faith! – and START APPLYING YOUR FAITH IN EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE!

 

“7rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:7, ESV)

 

OF FAITH – Let Faith be my PRIMARY motivator.

 

OF =  Derived or coming from; originating at or from; caused by

 

“8But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);” (Romans 10:8, ESV)

 

          I need to deal with all these issues, and gradually over time make faith, not any of them, my motivation for acting and living.

 

“27And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.” (Acts 14:27, ESV)

 

THROUGH FAITH – Make Faith my main DETERMINANT.

 

THROUGH = Among or between; in the midst of 

 

Determinant actually is a real word – it means  - An influencing or determining element or factor.  In other words, make faith the major factor in all my decisions.

 

“16In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;” (Ephesians 6:16, ESV)

 

Yes – I know it says  shield OF faith – but the point I want you to see is that faith can be a shield, or even better in this context think of it as a grid or a screen.  A way to look at life and strain out what’s selfish or ungodly and let through what’s driven by faith!

 

“23But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.” (Romans 14:23, ESV)

 

“12in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.” (Ephesians 3:12, ESV)

 

Things need to be screened out – otherwise sin will enter, rule and ruin my life!

 

 

WITH FAITH – Partner Faith to EVERYTHING.

 

WITH =In the company of; accompanying, Next to; alongside of

 

“2For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened.” (Hebrews 4:2, ESV)

 

 

 

BY FAITH – Let Faith answer EVERY QUESTION.

 

BY - Close to; next to; With the use or help of; through:

 

“9and he made no distinction between us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith.” (Acts 15:9, ESV)

 

It’s by faith – believing God, that our hearts can become pure, that we grow into Christlikeness!

 

“7for we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7, ESV)

 

The Christian life is lived BY faith – that how it’s done – or it’s not lived at all!

 

“3remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 1:3, ESV)

 

“16And his name—by faith in his name—has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.” (Acts 3:16, ESV)
