Welcome to the CFI Teaching Podcasts! In this episode, Michele Kielty, Professor in the Department of Graduate Psychology, provides information on the use of mindfulness in teaching. Based on research, mindfulness shows promise in helping those with mental health concerns. With the increase of anxiety and depression among college students, mindfulness practices can be implemented in the classroom to reduce stress.

This podcast was recorded in December 2019 prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the emphasis at the time was incorporating mindfulness in a face-to-face classroom setting, many of the tips can also be used with online teaching. If you would like additional information on mindfulness, please see the following resources (links).
